Ski trips 2026/2027: what to arrange before heading to the mountains
The winter season is approaching. For school ski courses and group mountain trips, a smooth journey depends on equipment, luggage and access to your accommodation as well as passenger numbers.

Count the passengers and the skis

A group heading for a ski holiday usually carries more than on a day trip. Alongside suitcases, there are skis, snowboards, boots and equipment for accompanying staff. Include passenger numbers and an estimate of sports equipment in your enquiry. Seat numbers alone do not determine which vehicle is suitable for the whole group.

Check access all the way to your destination

For mountain accommodation, we need the exact address and information about the final stretch of road. Ask your accommodation provider where a coach can stop safely, whether there is space to unload luggage and what access restrictions apply. If an onward transfer to a lodge is needed, coordinate it with the group's arrival.

Allow time for breaks and changing weather

Avoid building the first day's programme around a last-minute arrival. Winter journeys may need extra time, and the group also needs breaks and time to unload. For a longer stay, decide whether you need only the outward and return journeys or also transfers between accommodation and the sports venue.

For school groups, we recommend one contact person, a clear passenger list and straightforward instructions for parents about boarding and luggage.
