An organised departure
Choose one meeting point and a time when the class should be ready. If children board at several stops, give parents the exact order of pick-ups. A passenger list and one contact person make headcounts easier whenever the group boards.
Leave a little time in the programme
Allow for boarding, a break and the walk from the drop-off point as well as the drive itself. Tell the operator when a booked activity starts. Plan the return around the arrangements for parents collecting their children.
Agree the details in advance
Include children and accompanying adults in the passenger count, and describe the route and any luggage requirements. Check where the coach can drop the group off and collect it later. Small practical details can then be settled before the day itself.
